Guild House, 565 Canning Highway, Alfred Cove

You can add any embroidery or textile technique to a bag but first you need to be confident that you can create a bag that suits your style and purpose.

Many skills in bag construction can be mastered from this basic tote:

• Internal pockets

• Quick and easy straps

• Inserting a lining

• Creating volume

• A neat stable base

• A good finish

If you can make this tote you can easily adapt the basic pattern to create bags of many different sizes and shapes. There are two options:

Option 1 - You can make the bag with the sash.

Option 2 - You can bring a piece of embroidery or decorative panel to apply to the front of your bag and do without the sash.

Skill level: suitable for beginners to advanced

Cost: $30 member, $105 non-member (includes annual Guild membership fee)

Kit not provided. A requirements list will be sent upon registration.
