Fresh Networking Community Event - Rescuing Food, Fighting Hunger at FareShare , FareShare, Tuesday, 15. October 2019

Fresh Networking members are invited to participate in Corporate Volunteering to assist FareShare, our charity of choice for 2018. FareShare helps 3.6 million Australians who each year experience hunger or food shortage by rescuing surplus, quality food from supermarkets, farmers and businesses and use this to cook nutritious meals.
They operate the largest charity kitchen in Melbourne, and with the help of 850 volunteers, they cook 5,000 free meals a day. These meals are then distributed to over 400 charities across Melbourne and country Victoria, including soup vans, shelters for the homeless and refugees. Volunteering is invaluable to FareShare as volunteers enable them keep costs down and maximise the number of meals they produce.
We also encourage you to invite your clients to come along and volunteer as well! This is a great opportunity to help fight hunger in Melbourne and give back to the community in a meaningful, rewarding and enjoyable way.
100% Commitment - As FareShare has hundreds of volunteers on their waiting list, we need to stress the importance of attendance. Failure to show could negatively impact the number of hands required on the night. If you register to volunteer you are expected to turn up and on time. If you are sick it is also important that you do not show up and find someone to replace you.
Please inform us ASAP if you have any last-minute attendance issue.
Fee - A set fee for Corporate groups per registrant is mandatory and part of the arrangement Fresh has with FareShare.  Cost is $55.00 which all proceeds go to FareSare.
Caps and aprons are mandatory. For those with long hair, please bring hair ties. Please also wear suitable shoes (closed, flat, comfortable shoes). Fresh will supply branded aprons for your use on the night but you will need to bring your own cap.
Some ground rules:
No cameras, phones, or video camera permitted.
Aim to arrive at 6:15pm for a 6:30pm start. After dedicating 2 hours in the kitchen we’ll disappear to The National for a quick feed and a drink (BYO). And for any first-timers, be sure to check out the induction video below, which you can also find on the FareShare website.
Car Parking - Street parking available. Please read the signs to avoid any nasty surprises!
